Carbon footprint one third smaller compared to traditional industrial walkway solutions – thanks to clever product design!
R-taso is committed to sustainability throughout our operations. Taking care of our environment and being mindful of your carbon footprint is a necessity to all of us. We had our production´s footprint calculated already in 2020, because we wanted to be able to minimize our impacts to the environment with smart choices.

Our design service and modular product structure help our customers optimize their own production and processes. We can provide our customers the carbon footprint calculations of our walkway solutions.
Carbon footprint and smart design walk hand in hand. The majority of our production´s carbon footprint is due to the use of steel as raw material. By using the right amount of raw materials in the right place, it is possible to minimize the carbon footprint. Due to R-taso´s modular product structure, the amount of steel required in R-taso’s products is more than 30 % smaller compared to traditional industrial steel structures. Therefore, our walkway solutions also have a third smaller carbon footprint when compared to competing industrial steel structures by more traditional manufacturers.
Optimized steel structures
The amount of raw materials in proportion to strength in our products is optimized already in the product development phase. Our solutions always have the right amount of steel in the right place.
The main materials in our products are galvanized and stainless steel. As surface treatment we use durable hot dip galvanizing. Our painted structures are also always galvanized first, to ensure the best protection against corrosion and abrasion.
Special attention is paid to the intelligence of structures. Due to modular structure the products are light weight and require minimal space in transportation and storage, which reduces the logistic emissions. Due to modularity the modifiability of structures and installation tolerances make the installation fast and easy.
Modular structures easily correspond to the modification needs in industrial environments. The life cycle of the products is maximized with structural solutions: bolted connections and separate frame structures enable modifications and reusability. At the end of the factory´s life cycle the structures can be reused in another site or they can be recycled.
