R-taso promotes industrial safety and sustainability. Our products, our product development work and the solutions designed by us have a remarkable impact on people’s safety. They also have a direct impact on environmental load caused by industry.

Sustainability is a key consideration for us in our whole production chain, from product development and design to the manufacturing, transportation and installation of our products. We aim to minimize the environmental load already in our product development work by optimizing the amount of raw materials and aiming for a long life cycle.

Factories and industrial sites go through changes and modernization during their life cycles. Steel structures should also adapt to allow modifications and reuse. Thanks to our product development and the modular structure of our products, our walkways and platforms can be reused and modified, and flexibly adapted to the changing needs of the industry.

Our design service and the clever structural design of our products help our customers to optimize also their own production and processes.

Carbon footprint and sustainability

Carbon footprint is something we should all be mindful of in today’s world. To this end, we had the footprint of our industrial walkway production calculated in the beginning of 2020. We optimize the amount of raw materials in our steel structures already in the product development phase: our solutions have the right amount of steel in all the right places.

We use galvanization for enduring surface treatment. Our painted structures are also always galvanized to ensure the best protection against corrosion and abrasion.

We pay special attention to intelligent structural solutions in our product development work. Modifiable and tolerance-friendly structures make installation easier and safer. Due to modular structure, the products are light-weight and require minimal space in transportation, which minimizes the energy consumption and emission impact of logistics.

Our structures are designed to respond to industrial modifications. Longer product life cycle and reuse are facilitated by our products’ structural solutions: bolted connections and separate frame structure enable modifications and reuse during the life cycle if needed. At the end of the factory’s life cycle, the steel structures can be reused at another site or recycled.
